History / Biographical
The Chinook Country Tourist Association was a stakeholder-based, not-for-profit organization that supported and inspired tourism by providing stakeholder, marketing, and visitor information services. It was associated with Travel Alberta, and the company was based in Lethbridge. The Chinook Country Tourist Association promoted tourism and travel throughout Southern Alberta. The Chinook Country Tourist Association produced a number of annual publications that are distributed throughout Southern Alberta, including “Alberta South” travel planners and guides, multiple brochures, and maps. They worked to promote the Southern Alberta area to tourists from all over the world.
